Obviation Of Similar Forms, a bronze cast by Nancy Graves commissioned by Peter Ludwig for the Ludwig
Stiftung in 1979, realized through destroying the earlier version. A contradiction lies within,
as the shapes that build this cosmos-like architecture obviate from real bones. They appear to
even be cases, coffins, shells to the imagined body. Through the process of scanning it, following
the initial casting, i provide myself with an archive of immaterial forms. Documentation
footage, renderings, sounds and poetry rhythmically meld to obfuscate a deterministic eye.
